singer • songwriter • instrumentalist • producer Kevin Bowe got his start in the Minneapolis music scene that spawned Prince, The Replacements and Husker Du in the early 1980’s. After spending that decade in various punk and roots bands, he caught a break, meeting uberproducer David Z (Prince, Fine Young Cannibals, Big Head Todd). We go back into time to hear the details of how he got his first break, the call from Etta James and the discovery of a talented new artist, Johnny Lang.
We also catch up with Chris Smith, who has just made the announcement of his position as Chief Paper Killer at Dotloop.com and how he is managing that and his Inman role. Topped off with a weekly favorite, Cafe Commentary with Teri Conrad. We discuss Trulia’s new IPO, the big changes at Inman and a send off to regular contributor Laura Monroe who is beginning a key role at Inman next week. Finally! You asked for it we delivered. Agent Caffeine is now available on Stitcher and iTunes!
